What’s up with the birds and the bees?
Birds and bees are important pollinators upon which many plants rely. Without pollination, plants would be unable to set seed. Without seed dispersion by birds, plants are unable to spread and colonize new areas. Pollination and seed dispersal allow plants to maintain genetic variety and reproduce successfully. Pollination and seed dispersal consequentially allows plants to grow, which reduces levels of carbon dioxide (CO2). Birds and bees are therefore critical to sustaining the cultivation of our organic vegetable patch, an important landmark on our Green Trail.
